Background

This section of the site tells you some of the background to Crisis Centre Ministries It looks in greater detail at the following areas.

From the outset, there was a three-fold vision: to establish a point of contact with people on the street, to provide training for these people and for the churches who are working with them, and to provide supportive accommodation for people who have made a profession of faith and want to get their lives sorted out. This page describes in more detail our vision, both as it is currently expressed, and some of the earlier wordings.
Every Christian ministry needs some statement of faith, and this is ours. Actually, as they go, it's quite a good one.
This page contains some historical notes, which may one day become a fuller history of CCM from its origin with Derek Groves in 1984.
