History

CCM was established in 1984 by Derek Groves. He had previously worked in the prison service, and then ran a Christian drug rehab centre for Life for the World before setting up CCM.

September-October 1984 Three-fold vision
October 1985 Drop-in Centre at City Road Baptist Church
March 1986 12 City Road purchased
May 1990 Restructure of Coffee Shop and Team
1990 First LITE course
April 1991 Bottom flat changed to training room, top flat to office
May 1991 Bus Stop Project
1991 First "Life in the Gutter" course
2003 Coffee Shop and Kitchen refurbishment
2003 Derek Groves died
