Prayer Letter
February 2003

Praying for Crisis Centre Ministries,
its work, staff and clients
in the context of Bristol's inner city areas.

Digging image Perhaps the concept of digging is not a totally accurate one, but I often feel that there is something I would like get to grips with in prayer - pray something through until I see change. This is a recurring thought for me in the context of the ministry.

The Wild Goose is providing a really good service - AND we want to increase the staffing level so that we are more able to a consistent and relevant service to our client.

Clients' lives are complicated, and sometimes they don't make the best decisions! We want to be sharp and discerning in our responses, and to display God's love and tenderness.

    Finance

Our financial situation is a tremendous blessing to us. Because of the very generous support we receive, we have sufficient funds to cover priority needs. However, this is a time when we are looking to develop our work and this development needs to go hand in hand with increasing our income.

    Property

Please continue to pray about the possibility of us moving to a larger property

    From Andy Luxford

We are ten weeks into the current course, with six to go. We have two students, both young women - which makes a change because the majority are usually men. Please pray that God will give them peace and resolutions to their personal problems, and that their commitment to the course is not jeopardised.

The other issue is finding people with the motivation to enrol onto the course - an ever persistent problem. Do we need to restructure the LITE programme or do something differently? We need to hear what God is saying in this matter. If you have any words of wisdom, please let us know.

      Thank you for praying

    From Jayne

Please pray for more volunteers for The Wild Goose for Tuesday during the day and also for the evening session. We could still do with more food items being donated - like cakes. Thanks for praying.

    From Trudie

We have some brilliant admin volunteers who are being extremely helpful with much of the paperwork that needs to be done but - like most aspects of the ministry - there is always more! We could do with one more admin volunteer who could come in on a Monday.

There's a team of volunteers, headed up by Ann Banks, specifically involved with fund raising letters. It would be good to have at least one more person involved in that too.

We really appreciate your prayers. It would be so good to see you at our next prayer meeting - Monday 17 February, 7.30 pm at The Crisis Centre if you are able to make it. There are some difficult issues with clients as well as broader issues regarding the ministry and it would be good to pray together about these.

      Trudie
