Prayer Letter
December 2006

Praying for Crisis Centre Ministries,
its work, staff and clients
in the context of Bristol's inner city areas.

    Dear Friends

I am writing to express our appreciation at being able to work jointly with Coffee Cabin (Elim@Bristol) to arrange and provide a Christmas Party for our clients. Jenny and and the Coffee Cabin team were so helpful and encouraging, working really hard with us at the party.

As far as we are able to tell, about 70 'clients' came and all of the food was used, as were the presents and food parcels. Clients were most expressive in their gratitude. A Christian magician and illusionist, Jon Bonner, provided fantastic entertainment and a number of churches in Bristol were very generous in providing food, Christmas presents, food parcels and workers on the day. We would like to express special thanks to Carmel Christian Centre and Counterslip Baptist for their gift of numerous wrapped food parcels and gift boxes. We are humbled by this generosity. At the beginning of the party it was good when staff and volunteers prayed together for God's blessing and protection on the event. We were not disappointed - we consider the party to have been a great success.

It is a privilege to be able to do this sort of thing jointly, and the premises at Elim@Bristol provided such a good venue. We do hope it will be possible to work together on similar events in the future. We are thankful for their generous co-operation and openness to work alongside us.

We would like to pass on our many thanks to all of you who prayed for the event, those who gave so generously and for the many volunteers who helped on the day. We just couldn't have done any of this without you.

Every blessing this Christmas time and in the New Year ahead.

Paul Hazelden and everyone at the Crisis Centre
