Praying for Crisis Centre Ministries,
its work, staff
and clients
in the context of Bristol's inner city areas.
Dear Prayer supporters
Psalm 18:29 - 'With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall.'
This verse could possibly have been the battle cry of the LITE course students who recently went for five days on Dartmoor gallantly lead by Andy Luxford and some of the staff from CCM. For most of the six students, Outward Bound activities just don't usually figure in the day to day aspects of their lives in Bristol (and the staff too for that matter.) However, the students enthusiastically joined in climbing, abseiling, raft building, canoeing, caving and other activities. Thank you for praying for everyone who went on the trip, it really was fantastic for all involved.

Sponsored Sleep Out at Clifton Cathedral - Friday 29 February 2008
This is being organised by Alabare to support the Homeless through various organisations. They have asked CCM to supply refreshments, and also invited us to take part, so we can have some folk sleeping out and collecting sponsorship for CCM.
If you want to sponsor any of our people, or take part yourself, then please get in touch with us! Help providing hot drinks is also needed and any publicity would be greatly appreciated.
Paul's Health
Paul experienced a dramatic improvement to his health at the beginning of December 2007. This happened, almost literally, overnight. Nothing had changed in terms of his lifestyle or medication, so the only real reason he can see for the improvement is all the prayer (and fasting!) for him over the past few months. He is very grateful to everyone who has been praying: please keep it up, so that we can see a complete recovery. Thank you.
FareShare
This is a charity set up to distribute excess food from supermarkets and similar producers that would otherwise go into landfill. We are getting one or two deliveries each week of fantastic fresh and pre-packed food from FareShare and this has had a massive, positive impact on the type of food we serve - and will also help our finances. I will put more information about FareShare in a CCM newsletter.
Assistant Coffee Shop Manager vacancy
Interviews will soon be taking place for this new position, and we look forward to welcoming a new member of staff in the next few weeks.
Please pray:-
- For everyone who come into the coffee shop, for God's peace to be on their lives and for good opportunities to help them and share the love of Jesus.
- For the LITE course students who recently went on Dartmoor, that they will find placements either in work or in further educational programmes. Also pray for the new LITE course which is due to start at the end of February.
- Assistant Coffee Shop Manager - please pray for the interviews, for wisdom and guidance, and the right person to be appointed.
- Trudie's Clients - Please continue to pray for those clients whom Trudie regularly supports and counsels. She is looking for volunteers as well to help with supporting various families at home, perhaps helping with a little housework and childcare.
- Polish Client - Please continue to pray for Lukaz, he is going through a tough time at the moment.
- For the Sleep Out at Clifton Cathedral.
