Prayer Letter
July 2008

Praying for Crisis Centre Ministries,
its work, staff and clients
in the context of Bristol's inner city areas.

Dear friends

This is a short prayer letter just hi-lighting just some additional items that we would appreciate prayer for. I am also including a recent email from Sheila who is a Monday night Duty Manager and her team of volunteers make sandwiches and serve cakes every fortnight. Sheila recently was involved in a car accident whilst away in USA and we are very pleased that she is making a good recovery and that she is back with us at the Wild Goose.

Please pray for the following:

Thanks for your prayers and your love. Newsletter on it's way with lots more information about what's happening here.

The following is an email from Sheilah Edwards.

Hi All

Back on the job again and all healed up.

A great night, but absolutely packed out. We used 20 loaves, 16 made up before and another 4 using the CCM bread, ( hope that was all right Alan - our fillings). I did two large Bread & Butter Puddings when we got there and had also bought a very large apple pie from Costco and everything went - not a scrap left over.

The night was peaceful tho' a bit noisy due to so many people. Once up the road 30 yards or so a shouting match started but didn't come to anything. So "Thank you God that you were very present and in charge"

We now have a full Team and Home Church Saturday nights led by Chris are going really well with clientèle building up. This is the night that it's all about really.

Here are a couple of prayer request about a couple of guys, details given to me by Chris:-

People to pray for:

That's all for this time. Still need prayer for someone apart from Grace who can take over from me when I'm away or sick. Thank you all for your prayers and team for your hard work as we were so busy all the time Monday, most of us went home exhausted.

Love and God Bless

Sheilah
