Praying for Crisis Centre Ministries,
its work, staff
and clients
in the context of Bristol's inner city areas.
Dear friends
Just a quick update.
Thank you for praying about the printer: the toner came the next day, we started printing the newsletters again, and most of them have now been sent out. Many thanks to the folk who put in hours of work stuffing and franking the envelopes!
And thank you for praying about the sleep out last night. All the staff and two trustees took part, plus another ten or so dedicated supporters and family members. It was only a tiny bit damp, and everyone survived - and all the participants were in remarkably good spirits in the morning. Some of us even got a little sleep.
If anyone would like to sponsor us retrospectively, please feel free! Cheques, etc., are always acceptable, but you may find the easiest way is to donate online by following the link from the CCM web site, or by going directly to Charity Choice.
BBC Radio Bristol interviewed Alan twice. The Bristol Evening Post advertised the event beforehand, and have promised to do a follow-up piece, probably on Monday. Do let us know if you are aware of other mentions in the media. And please pray that this publicity helps people understand more about homelessness and the issues facing homeless people. We are particularly trying to highlight the need for more help - treatment, not just advice - for alcoholics in Bristol.
One last thing: the next lunchtime prayer meeting will be 1 - 2 pm on Tuesday 24 March at 12 City Road. You are all invited...
But whether or not you can join us, thank you again for praying.
Every blessing,
Paul Hazelden
