Job Opportunity: Cook/Chef at the Wild Goose

“The Wild Goose saved my life by feeding me when I had nothing.”
– Former homeless person and recovered alcoholic.

Are you looking for a unique environment in which to develop your large-scale catering skills and experience? Are you keen to gain increasing responsibility for running an efficient kitchen?

Our Wild Goose drop-in prepares and serves breakfast, lunch and a main evening meal to Bristol’s homeless community and those in temporary/supported accommodation. We serve 300 to 400 meals each day.

We have an immediate need for a Cook/Chef to join our staff team on a permanent basis.

Your passion will be to serve people’s basic needs by providing them with good quality food. You will be engaged in daytime food preparation and service, along with the tasks necessary to run a busy and safe kitchen. You will work with, and supervise, volunteers who bring their varying skills.

Alongside the provision of food we have an Engagement team who work with our service users and support them out of homelessness.

You will report to the Wild Goose Deputy Manager for Provision (who is an experienced chef).
